Setting out is the primary technical phase of any building or civil engineering project. The process involves surveying the development site in question and transferring the measurements of a building, structure or construction from the approved plans, to defined markers on the ground. Setting out may also involve defining a boundary to signal the works limits, or to resolve a boundary dispute.
